ConnorsLaw extends double congratulations to Kevin Connors, as managing partner, as Kevin was recently asked by Lexis/Nexis to serve on Larson’s National Workers’ Compensation Advisory Board.

Larson’s is, of course, a leading national authority on workers’ compensation publications and issues.

Conveniently, the Larson’s National Workers’ Compensation Advisory Board met in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the National Workers’ Compensation and Disability Conference, with Kevin also having been asked to speak before the Conference, on “The Future of Exclusive Remedy”, with other panel members, Thomas Robinson, Esquire, of Larson’s, Lex Larson, also of Larson’s, Lawrence Pascal, Esquire, and Albert Betts, Esquire.

The focus of the panel was on recent jurisdictional and pre-emptive challenges to the exclusive remedy doctrine in workers’ compensation, particularly in terms of several federal RICO cases that have come out of the Sixth Circuit, to include Brown v. Cassens, decided on April 6, 2012, and Jackson v. Sedgwick, decided by the Sixth Circuit on November 2, 2012.
