Since not all of our faithful followers subscribe to the Legal Intelligencer in Philadelphia, the oldest law journal in the United States, it is worth reporting that the Legal Intelligencer published a very interesting article on September 30, 2010, in which it was reported that the number of jury verdicts in excess of $1,000,000 had tripled during the first six months of 2010, compared against the same time period in 2009. This is a telling statistic, no matter which side of the aisle that you might fancy yourself on.
