In 2013, ConnorsLaw joined NRRDA, the National Retail and Restaurant Defense Association, as a member firm.

NRRDA was originally formed in 2008, in order to allow businesses that are focused on retail and restaurant operations to marshal their respective resources to include, there is the key, their preferred defense counsel, to exchange information, resources, and strategy directed at reducing liabilities asserted under traditional premises liability principles, as well as to address liabilities unique to both retailers and restaurateurs, and also to contain liabilities for indemnity and medical compensation benefits arising as a result of workers’ compensation claims brought against both industry groups.

To any firm clients, whether retailers, restaurateurs, insurance carriers, or third-party administrators, involved in liabilities that involve either retailers and/or restaurateurs, we strongly encourage membership and participation in NRRDA, as it is a network specifically developed to empower retailers and restaurateurs to meet head-on the special challenges facing businesses with so much direct personal contact with both clientele and employees.

NRRDA also hosts an annual conference, with the 2014 Conference to be hosted in San Francisco, CA, at a location yet to be confirmed.

The 2014 NRRDA Conference will likely be during the last week of February, 2014.
